Hi John, from your brilliant website it seems you are an authority on the history of Fyansford. Just wondering you could help me with some of the details in this photo from around 1980. Firstly, which quarry in Fyansford is this photo taken from? Secondly, would you have any information about the steel poppet head in the background? i.e. where it stood in relation to the APC plant, when was it moved there, where it came from, when it was dismantled, and where it might be now…thanks in advance. I can't seem to find any close up photos either. Any information would be appreciated as I am writing a book relating to the metal poppet heads used in Australian mining.
