Section "Assisi scene"
Painting by Mary Flatt
Time moves on
Time moves on
Today becomes yesterday
And,
in time
only relics remain...
Taking a look at my neighbourhood
and at how it too has changed...

The future
Some of us miss the Fyansford of old...
Some of us hanker for history...
Most of us live in the present
Many ~ plan for the future...
Me!
I enjoy the past...
Live the present...
am optimistic for the future...
I
personally
enjoy the relics, echoes from days gone by...
They help me better understand
and appreciate the Fyansford of today.

It's a bit like looking through an old family album at early photos of memories once lived, enjoyed and then forgotten.

Once photos are lost,
treasured memories fade;
those once living effectively disappear.
Relics, shadows from the past, are important.
