Seems this second period of isolation is very different. Whereas previously

we'd acted as a community displaying outwardly positive acts of resilience, now we are all hunkering down in isolation.

 

My thoughts are with the elderly, the fragile, those living alone, people with disabilities, families struggling with unemployment, home schooling  and restricted physical /social activities.  I am also concerned for the dignity of the individual for whom a mask prevents the sharing of smiles and positive responses. It is at times like this where we draw upon technology, smart phones, tablets, the internet.

 

While I haven't met most in my neighbourhood (Fyansford) or online communities (Geelong in Historical Pictures, Fyansford Community Noticeboard,  Fyansford.com....) I do feel that I know quite a few of you and I am thankful for our ongoing interactions. I will use this page to share interactive ideas with people within my Fyansford.com network.
