201. Once upon a dreamtime...

And so we begin a new blog series: "Once upon a dreamtime..."

Whereas Geelong was 'first established' by Europeans between 1836 -1838,

the Wathaurung were the original indigenous inhabitants having lived in the locality for at least the last 25,000 year. The Wathaurong originally called the bay “Jillong” (a place of the sea bird over the white cliffs) and the surrounding land “Corayo”.
