76. Early Victorian Press

I have spent (some would say wasted) many enjoyable hours borrowing through early colonial newspapers in the Baillieu library. The National Library of Australia's TROVE resource still feeds this interest. Some of you might be interested to read letters to "Aunt Connie" from the Young Folks column in The Weekly Times (late 1800s to early 1900s). These letters from Violet Carroll (1899, 1901), Rose Hocking (1905), Violet Read (1920) and Daisy Taylor (1923) give an insight into the lives of our early young Fyansfordites.
