Having recently purchased“Memoirs recorded at Geelong, Victoria, Australia by Captain Foster Fyans” (1790-1870), I couldn’t wait to get into it.
I found it impossible, as I read in front of a well-worn old fireplace dating back to the 1800s, not to reflect on Fyansford before the time of power and lighting; back to the days of Captain Foster Fyans, Fyans Ford and Balyang.
